MC12 Corsa


MC12 Corsa is version intended for use by the racetrack. In contrast to the race version of the MC12, out of which Street-legal versions were produced for homologation purposes, MC12 Corsa is designed for private use, although limited to the track, as modified Corsa makes it illegal to ride on the road.

Corsa has been developed directly from the MC12 GT1, which won the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers Cup. the car was released in mid-2006, in response to the needs of clients in their own MC12 race car and working on the growth track days, where owners can drive their cars at high speeds in the safety of the racetrack, "said Edward Butler, CEO of Maserati in Australia and New Zealand. Similarly, to Ferrari FXX, while owners of private individuals, Maserati is responsible for the storage, maintenance and technical servicing of cars and they are only driven on specially organized days of travel. Only twelve MC12 Corsas were sold to selected customers, each of which paid € 1 million ($ 1.47 million) for the privilege.
